Title: Starting problem 1200K1
Post by: PanamaBandit on January 19, 2008, 06:17:39 PM
Hi to all,

This is my first bandit, a 1200SK1. I bought it at a very good price from an insurance auction (right fairings had a road rash) but with no key. So i had the key done and the fairing is being repaired. The odometers reads only 2684 miles (either it was used very sporadically, or a new sets of watches were installed), however the bike itself looks like it had very little use.
The problems is that it is completely unresponsive to the starter switch. Besides the side stand switch, will there be any other cause that any of you guys might think of? The bike in in neutral and on the center stand, so I didnt tried with the clutch lever pressed in. The ignition fuse is OK. The barke lights came on when I press the front brake lever.
How can I test the side stand switch? Could it be the starter switch?

Any help will be appreciated.

You have to pull the clutch lever in.

Is the main emergency shut off switch off? (The one located on the right hand side next to the throttle)
