Title: Sticky Throttle Grip
Post by: Warren on May 15, 2005, 02:42:48 PM
Can anybody help me besides the greedy dealership?  I have a 2000 Suzuki Bandit 600S and my throttle grip has become very sluggish.  It does not want to snap back off in a hurry.  It shuts off very slowly.  I have tried playing around with the tension screws on the two cables leading to the grip but to no avail.  Is the grip totally screwed or is there something that I can adjust?  Can WD40 be of any help here?

Check that the throttle cables have not kinks or sharp bends and have suffecient lubrication.
Check the linkages on the carbs have no broken or binding pieces and they are also lubed.
Check the handgrip and make sure it isn't being bound up by the bar end.
Check the throttle sleeve isn't cracked or broken.
