Title: The Mystery Wrench
Post by: Barbarian on May 06, 2008, 06:35:13 PM
Most of the tools in the Bandit's kit are readily recognizable, even the laughable excuse for a breaker bar provided by Suzuki.

But one tool always has me scratching my head.

What is this wrench and what is it for? And why the centimeter-wide bit near the handle?

That's your shock preload adjuster/spanner. There should be a slip-on handle to increase the leverage as well.

Rear shock eh? I've never felt the need to adjust it.. But thanks for the answers!

The slip-on bit is what I called the laughable excuse for a breaker bar -- it fits the 22mm and 24 mm wrenches as well.

Too funny! I have always used my own tools to work on the bike ( I've only had it since last fall). Today I needed to adjust the chain and did not have a socket or wrench big enough to loosen the rear axle nut, so I opened the bike's tool kit, and the first thing I was was that tool. Now I know what it's for!  :thanks: :thanks:
