You actually just stated it.... tons of air rushes thru it because otherwise you would be a barn-door on the highway.

That hole in the bottom of the winds screen equalizes the air pressure in front and behind the wind screen.  This means less turbulance t the rider.

The question is:  do you sing along?  And do you do the Freddie or David parts?

Wandering off topic here...

When I am "in the zone" (not AutoZone), I get stuck singing the same song over and over, inside my helmet, sometimes almost and hour before I realize it.  Something about riding stimulates that part of my brain, I guess.  I have several that come up for no reason, but the absolute most frequent is another duet, "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" and yes, I do both the Kiki *and* Elton lines!

Hey - I don't have to sit here and be insulted, you know - I can go home and be insulted there instead!!

mike - talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence, or is it craziness??  I can never remember which!  Yes, you can!  No, I can't you retread!  Back off jack, or I'll hit you!

Sven : whatever happened to Kiki?  Elton married a guy from Canada - but we won't go there !  Not that there's anything wrong with that!

One bad thing about the space is it lets all kinds of water and dirt in there and then you only have a .5 inch of space to clean on the back of the fairing.
