Went to a dealer friend and ordered a 1250 w/ABS today.

That's great George!! Congratulations!  :congrats:
With everything that's been written here about the 1250 I almost don't want to ride one for fear of making an impulsive trade in and taking a bath on the 03B12!! I look forward to your impressions of the bike when it comes in.

Bob, think about holding on as long as you can with your 1200.  Naturally, you will take a beating on selling/trading and the 1250 can't be that much better.  I sold my '98 1200 and am still crying...It was a good bike and a friend wanted it so I sold it to him...bad decision....hang in..

Thanks George, I'm sure you're right. My last bike was another Bandit, a 99 1200S that I sold in 02. I was bikeless for almost 5 years before i decided it was time again. I researched everything from Harley's to FJR's for months until I realized that the same reasons that made me buy the Bandit in 99 still applied. Great performance, looks, comfort, power and price. Bought it in February and I've been smiling ever since!  :singing:  :beers:
