Hello fellas. I'm sure glad I found this site. I just got a 96 Bandit 600s and I'm looking forward to learning alot of tips and tricks! Talk to you soon guys/gals.

Oh and BTW does anyone know a good site to order after market parts for a 96' B6s? I love modding any vehicle I have so if anyone can help me out with some kind of info that would be greatly appreciated!

:welcome: What kind of mods are you looking for? There's a wealth of stuff out there for the 600 & 1200 Bandits, both in performance, appearance and functionality. I think you'll find most of the answers in the sections further down the board. Check them out and if there is something that's not covered, ask away, either in a related thread, or back here.

The Bandit doesn't have as many goodies as a Harley or a Gold Wing, but it is probably the best aftermarket supported sporting standard out there.  :bigok:

No, wasn't looking for it when the site was rebuilt.  I was here back in the ezforum days, but just never spoke up much :duh: .  More or less I was trying to get to know my bike from what others have said.

Hello all. Just found this site yesterday. I'm searching for a replacement for my K1200RS and this site looks like it's a big bonus for Bandit owners. Toronto is home and I like to do sport touring. I try to go to Daytona every spring to start things up. Over the summer I go to the Sport Bike Rally in Parry Sound and a couple of charity rides like the BAD ride. I have family in Montreal so I'm often doing the boring 401 shuffle. And I try to do at least 1 weeklong tour. The last one I took was to Nova Scotia. I've been to Kentucy, up around Lake Superior and into northern Quebec. My dream is to have a month off to ride to the Grand Canyon. Let's hope it's sooner rather than ....never. I'll spend a lot of time on this site over the next week or two as I decide on which bike will replace the BMW. Thanks to the site admin and all others who make this site very attractive.

Well I want to remove the muguard and change the rear(lights,plate) set-up. Also some new mirrors and an aftermarket exhaust. That's about all I want to do to it to be honest. Do you know of any good aftermarket sites?

You could probably find all that stuff at http://www.holeshot.com
   Actually, most of the rear fender 'improvements' can be done with just some trimming, and aftermarket lights.

Sweet....has anyone posted some kind of tutorial with pics? I imagine it's a matter of cutting the mudguard and just finding some way to mount the lights.

There's a fender trim tutorial for the 2G Bandits (2000+ B6 & 2001+ B12) on the Holeshot site:

If you're going with an aftermarket exhaust, I highly recommend adding a jet kit to your shopping list. You can run a slip-on without one (I ran ~6 months w/o one), but it makes an already lean bike run even leaner. It will run so much better, start easier and warm up faster with a jet kit.

Thank you very much for the advice man. I just finished doing my first mod today. I sawed off and sanded the rear mudguard upto the license plate braket all the way across. I left the OEM rear light mounts alone because I'm just gonna buy those cat eye blinkers that bolt on. It looks alot better that's for sure.
