Here it is!

Basically... it looks like they just made the same changes as they did to the GSF650 last year.

Looks like the Suzuki B-King... which Suzuki denies is going to be made/sold this year.

Looks good to me.  Neat color.  Changed up the side covers.  Polished aluminum crankcase cover instead of black.  What else?

New forks, brakes, and fairing (better headlights!!!)

Also new gas tank, seat, side panels, cowl, and rear fender.

Mechanically & frame-wise... I think it's identical to the previous 2nd gens.

I wonder if the speedo is more accurate.

Very nice! Big cosmetic improvement over the '05. If I wanted something that looked like that, I'd buy a GSXR - it literally kept me from buying this year. I wonder what colour options will be?

It'd look better with no fairing and a round headlight.

What can I say, I liked the 1200n...

Hmm, the naked version has some sort of spoiler thing that looks like it bolts onto the headlight bracket or something.  Kind of begging for a fly screen that could be bolted in place, instead of that filler piece.

I wonder if we'll see them in the US?

Both 1200 and 1200S are present and also the first picture of the GSR-600. (AKA B-king 600)

Enter by clicking one of the pictures, goto "forum" and then "algemeen"

Hey Adam, you an Aggie?

I was suppose to graduate from A&M in 2003; however I had some personal problems arise, so I moved back to New Mexico.

I have seen the 650 in person a few times, and I do believe it looks better than the 2nd gen, feels better *But still feels like a Bandit.

This is a step backwards. The clock surround on the N looks tacky, and the little side panel under the front seat doesn't fit in with the rest of the styling. And still no fuel injection! What's the world coming to lol

I personally think they should have:
- left it
- made it look more like the original Bandit 400 (or 250!)
- made it look more like the GSX1400 and ditch the 1400
- come up with a completely new design

Anything but this!

Still gonna get a K4 or K5 plate one next year

Billy, I'm with ya on the looks of the clocks on the N! There's nothing there in the styling dept that makes me wanna get rid of my 2G for a 3G either.

They couldn't make it look any more like the 400/250 than they already have/had. The SACS engines used in the bigger pair aren't designed to hang from the frame by their head. If you want a 1200 that looks more like the GSX14, then there's the GSX1200 Inazuma.

Dunno if Suzuki UK brought 'em in, but your gray market importers do if they don't. (I know they brought you in a few Bandit 750's.) I've heard of the Inazumas making it over to Contenental Europe, too.

I'm a 3G fan.  Much sleeker and more modern looking, IMHO.  Anyone know what the US is getting?

Heard rumors the US may not be getting any 3G Bandits.
If we do, my guess is it would just be the 1200S.

I heard they are the 2-caliper brakes from the GSXR... which are better than the 3-caliper Tokico on the 2nd gen.

Kinda doubt that, when the GSXR went from 6 pots down to 4 they went to radial calipers - and those aren't radial calipers.

On another forum we've wondered about this.  Several of us have toyed with the idea of trying to get a GSX1400 over here.  Who does this sort of thing?  By any chance do you know?

Gray market STREET bikes in the US are increasingly difficult. There may still be outfits that do this sort of thing, but I don't know who. The gray market bikes I've known of were either brought in by a foreign national or were brought in from Canada. Licensing is the hard part, you've got to find a way to get it by the EPA, or some sneaky way to avoid them. This would make a GSX1400 pretty expensive. Keep in mind the US market is one of the cheapest for Japanese bikes, so you'd have to buy a GSX14 in a higher priced market, ship it here, pay import duty and pay to deal with the EPA issue. Given the GSX14 doesn't offer much over a B12 (a little more torque), you'd have to like it a whole lot more than a B12. You could make a B12 out-torque it for less than it would cost you to get one in the USA.

Other countries, like Australia and the UK, have less stringent rules and have a large market of gray bikes & importers.

Looks like Suzuki went for a more angular look with the 06 Bandito.  I like the new tail section which should help with soft luggage, the panel being more narrow.  Don't know if I like the silver engine cases though.  I'm just glad the Bandit will still be produced another year.

Keep in mind those are probably pics of the JDM model, which has always had bright cases while most other markets got black ones. Though since the 650 now has a black motor, other markets may get bright cases to help separate the looks of the 1200 from the 650.

Well, it looks better than it did on the white background pics, but it really is no improvement over the previous B12. Then again, it's a hell of a lot of bike for the price!

From the Paris show, a couple of accessorized Bandit's - looks like ABS has revisited Banditdom, this time on the 650:

In reply to Paulvs about the( GS-R) B-king, suzuki are gonna build it don't know if it will go state side but i read in the latest edition of RIDE magazine(November issue there out a month early) that it'll be in 1300/600 engines the 1300 is from the 'busa and the 600 is from the gsxr power is in the region of 140bhp and 100bhp.
It'll have quality suspension, radial brakes and an underseat pipe so RIDE say.
They also say it'll priced at about £8000/£5000.

No new Bandit?  What a disapointment-- I see they are still selling the Katanas, though :?:  :?:

I was also looking at the Kawasaki site and I couldn't find the ZRX1200.

Too bad, those two and the FZ1 were the three I looked at when I was shopping.   :crybaby: could have been happy with any of them.
