A Big Thank You To.....

all the guy(s) that contribute to and look after this board. I've been going to buy a big block Bandit for over a year but.....I could not find the exact info about the oil burning problem anywhere. Today at work I took about 15 minutes to do a couple of Google searches and....here I am....with all my questions answered in the one thread in the Tech Section. Great stuff!!!
None of my 3 local dealers professed to know a thing about this problem. Hmmmm....either they're awful dumb......or awful dishonest. Now with a copy of the bulletin in hand I think I'll go back to each of those shops for a re-visit and see what their stories are now.
If/when I finally get a Bandit, I'm sure I'll be on here often...in fact more often than is probably good for me....or you guys.
BTW, I also hang out on 2 other bike boards that use php s'ware and it's nice to be able to navigate around without any steep learning curve nonsense.

Welcome aboard. Glad you found what you're looking for here and hope to see you back WHEN you get the Bandit. Based on your current stable, you'd be giving them good company. (Well, the Kwacker might get a little more jealous.)
Nice stable, BTW... I had a '77 GS750 back in the day... it was my first new motorcyle. Unfortunately, someone else decided they needed it more than I did when it was only 9 months (and 17K miles) old.

Another GS fan huh? Two bikes ago this was in my stable
An '81 that I found sitting rusting in the rain with a split seat. That ended up being a fine bike. It was that one that got me interested in getting another Zook.
Lotsa good stuff here, go get yourself a B12!

Steve: Nice ride!!....although what I was REALLY looking for when I bought my 750 was a nice 83 GS1100ES which, if you think about it, is really the "grandfather" of the B12. The GS1100ES would work for me as a consolation prize if I can't get a B12 at the price I can afford. Well, we'll see.....as the world turns and the search continues.
