I used to ride in Eastern PA with the ytriples group. Nice country. PA, but I can't say the same for much of FL, though. It wasn't completely bad to ride a perfectly flat state like FL until the carpet-bagger real-estate developers paved over most of it. Now the tickey-tackey houses look much the same no matter where you go, and the riding here has gone from relaxing to terrifying since these crazy northerners and their SUV's have moved in during the last 4 years. Don't they know that FL is for RETIRED people?
Tell everyone: Houses here cost just as much now as they do in the northern states, and real estate taxes and insurance (when you can actually get it), is no cheaper than up n'oth! Please - stay up n'oth! Let me enjoy a hard-earned retirement in peace.
But if you DO come here, please know fer sure that I'm legally "packing". Try to kill me by forcing me off the road and y'all will find out what that means.
I had enough of those 115-lb. blondes pushing 5,000 lb. vehicles while I was commuting to work on route 23 in northern NJ. They would run up on my ass on that road if I wasn't exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 MPH. Now they have followed me down to FL, dammit!!
That's why I had to trade my '80 Yamaha xs850SG in on an Suzuki 1200 Bandit. Those crazy people actually try to beat me away from a stop light in a a 5,000 lb. vehicle! Is there a national conspiracy by the other 49 states to unload their worst drivers and druggies onto Florida?

Would you guys and gals mind updating your profiles with your location? Sometimes it can help answer a question to know where you might be able to go for parts or if you are somewhere that could have location-specific feature (V model B4, California emissions crap, restricted to meet licensing requirements...) Plus, it's just kind of interesting to know where our members are. It's interesting to me anyway. It could be that I just spend way too much time here... nah...
