Title: Any changes on the '08 bandit 1250s?
Post by: heath3n on July 15, 2007, 03:34:38 PM
Hi all, I'm new here and I'm on the fence between an '07 Bandit 1250s or waiting for the '08s to see if anything will be changed. Is anyone aware if Suzuki will be making any changes to the '08 Bandit 1250? Thanks!

Beeing that it is new this year(at least for us in the USA), I doubt that there will be any real changes, except for color choices maybe.

Black is the only color choice for my bikes. Black adds 10 hp the second it's applied to the bike. And they don't charge extra for it! :P  :stickpoke:  I will say that the red is quite pretty though.

:welcome: to the board!

As far as  know there are no differences between the '07 and '08 B1250. I would imagine that there wouldn't be since the '07 came out rather late, and only so many models were built. It wouldn't make sense to me to have to re-tool the production line already after such a short run, and since the new Bandit is selling so well, and no major problems have been reported, they will simply continue with the current production and simply re-start the VIN#'s for the '08 model year.

That doesn't mean they might not introduce a new color or two though, or make small changes such as decals. Just guessing here...

Thanks for the replies guys, that's I was hoping to hear. Like i said...as far as color goes, I would like a black. The only color change that might get my attention is if they blacked out the motor. I'd love to see a blacked out motor on on all their Bandits!

...and the frame painted the same color as the tank/plastics... i love that about the older bandits... it's quite a characteristic thing about them - i wish they would contnue that...

I guess I am wierd- I love a contrasting frame.  Only think I likes about the ABS bikes here is the silver frame.

A black engine would really make our black bikes look like a stealth fighter though.:)

WAG, but my fearless prediction is that they'll run the 1250 for AT LEAST three model years ('07-'08-'09) with no changes except the colour choices. Why would they change a bike that's selling so well and (so far) hasn't experienced any problems ?? :bigok:  :bandit:
.....although mounting the regulator/rectifier on top of the bottom end castings will eventually come back to haunt them, IMO. That sucker WILL get pretty warm in stop and go traffic with temps that you US guys see in summer. For some reason Japanese engineers don't seem to understand how hot it DOES get in downtown Dallas/Phoenix/Atlanta etc etc under such riding conditions.
Well, we'll see how it shakes out after 2 or 3 years of such torture....
