Hmm. I know when it comes to cars, Canadian dealers are legally allowed to lie about up to $2000 worth of damage <ahem> not obliged to inform customers about damage up to $2000. While home sellers are legally responsible for every nick and ding.

I wonder if it's the same for bikes?

Hmm,.. I didn't know about that.  I thought they were accountable for it, even if it was found after the fact.

The Sales Manager did look genuinely surprised.  Of course, he might just have been a good actor.

I think this bike will be a good bike for whoever gets it, it's just going to be a matter of getting a good enough deal for it to leave the showroom.

I checked, and thought it was Canada-wide, but may just be a BC law CTV story

Nice.  Slimy used car dealer.  Nothing like reinforcing the stereotype, eh?

What is $2000 in damage nowadays?  I know that when I took my 1" dent on the door of the mustang to my neighbor's body shop, they wanted to paint the door and the rear quarter.  $800 for a dent.   Uhm,. pass.   I'm reasonably sure I could have replaced the door skin for that, or less.
