lol good one was searching for Suzuki racing ones for my whees and ran across these
cheers
-
Must be a popular thing now. They are doing them for Honda's as well
-
Anybody have a link or supplier for these? The E-Bay link is dead, and I have not found them on any search...
I'd like to order a set.
-
I'd have to take a little more time when changing my tires to make them worth while. I actully do take more time on 1 set that I have, the other you can tell I get in a bit of a rush. I have a few marks here and there from the tire irons. But theres alot of shiney new Bandits (nice shiney old ones too)out there now that they would look good on. With the popularity of the Bandit once again, there will be more stuff being sold for them on ebay.
I kinda liked keeping everyone guessing what kinda bike it is,the only place my bike says what it is, is the Bandit fork brace. In fact I once had a guy @ vintage days say he never heard of a NRC motorcycle befor ,the case covers were the only thing he had to go on,on what it was.

The ones I got are gone... but here's another.

If you don't care about the logo, you can get plain ones in many different colors, reflective and non, from places like Tapeworks. (http://www.tapeworks.com/Rimstripes/RimstripesHome.html)
-
They look like they may be a little expensive, cos of the curve, and the extra material from being rounded. However, with measurements, they can likely be duplicated by any sign shop, and the price would come down with a multiple order. How many people want them? Possible if we can design it, I can get them made... And more than likely for less than the $61/ea in that ebay auction.

Thanks Stormi
I think the high $ are for the custom graphics on the rim tape. There are rim tapes available for as little at 6 UK pounds plus freight.
I was trying to find a set of the Suzuki Bandit graphics that PaulVS got, as I think they look great.
-
I got a set from a company called Dunston Graphics. They sell rim stripes on ebay as well. I got maroon pre curved stripes with Bandit surrounded by a Suzuki S on each side in black. They match the red on the 07 1250 perfectly. Cost $16 I don't have any pics currently but when I take some I will post them.

I just found an old email from the guy who sold me the stickers shown in the pic above. If anyone is interested I can see if he still sells them. (They came in about 30 different colors, IIRC)
-
Yea Paul, I'm interested...I like the look of what youv'e got more than anything else I've seen. You can PM me his e-mail, or response, if you prefer. Thanks...
-
If he still sells 'em, it might be better to put that info in this thread...

Turns out that email I had was the wrong guy. :duh:
But this ebay seller has them also... might even be the same guy I got mine from since I do remember they came from the UK.

Since that auction is expired, it may be removed from ebay at any time, so best to record his name for posterity's sake: goodnsticky0

I like those stickers Paul has too. Since they don't seem to be available anymore, I was wondering if anyone used automotive pinstripes. I'd like to try a double pinstripe in gold but wondered how hard it would be to go in a 17 in circle, although I've seen some bike pinstripe kits that also come in rolls rather than curved sections.

I'm cheap, I used pin striping tape from PepBoys, $5. Lots of colors to choose from too.
