The name B-King stemmed from the prototype which was Boost-King. It had a tubocharged Busa powerplant putting out some ungoddly amount of power, something like over 500HP.

There is no way they would put that thing into production with those stats. The prototype looked a lot better.

Actually, the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show concept bike was called B-King, too. It was speculated the "B" meant boost, since it was a belt-driven supercharged Hayabusa motor. Horsepower was estimated to be about 240-250. Still pretty ungodly, but only about half of your 500.
