Ok, if half of the stories are true The Suzuki BKing will be available at the end of the year. The question is this.. Even if this is a new bike throughout, can we call it a Bandit so I feel I can maintain my loyalty? :)

Hmmm... good question. With the original Tokyo Show concept bike, the "B" in B-King allegedly stood for Boost since it was supercharged. With the production version being normally aspirated, it can't stand for that anymore.
You just know if they keep the B-King name there'll be all sorts of Burger King jokes. I'm wondering if they don't end up just calling it a GSR1300 and leave it at that.

OMG that is one UGLY thing.
i know it can be in the eye of the beholder but man kill it before it breeds.
-
LOL - Too late. :monkeymoon:
The original supercharged show bike with all it's electronic gee-gaws has already bred. First ones out the gate were the '06 GSR600 and JDM GSR400:

Thank you! I am not alone. Now, checkout the Kawasaki Z1000 for another ugly baby.
The video in site about calls it the BK...which just makes the Burger King connection more obvious. BK Broiler...a chicken sandwich or a rider on a hot summer day?

Saw the original concept bike and it was gorgeous, seen the production one they had at the UK show and it is FUGLY. It's about 3' wide across the front with all the plastic tank and indicator extensions built on. We get it in August in the UK, can't see many being sold.

nice blue
like the front fender
HATE the width and overall look
-
I like it. Of course I like the Kawasaki as well.

A lot of the excess width would go away if they added a decent windscreen to balance things out... Just my fiftieth of a buck.
-
Well, I definitely WON'T be in line with a fistful of money to sign up for that....er....ummm......thing. It's absolutely a full-on Japanese origami design thing, fer shure. I wouldn't think the US/Europe had any input into the design at all.

It is an entirely new bike & not in the Bandit stable at all. In fact you would be better off clasiing it in the Busa family. Rumor is you will see a new Busa in 08.

That exhaust absolutely spoils the back end of the bike! :annoy: yuck

I think it's a bit too much, too... I like the the looks of most undertail exhausts, though most of them have heat related comfort issues when tested.
Fortunately for the B-King, the gigantic cans with the tiny exits will be something that'll be easy - and likely popular - to change and should go a long way toward improving the overall look . . . sure helps the blue GSR600 in the above pic.
-
I'd have to say that that is definately getting past good looks to a point of, what's the word?.......oh ya,...GOOFY!!!
-
Yeah, the first mods would have to be a different exhaust set up. As far as width, have you measured your S lately? I think overall, you'll hear a lot of the BK Broiler (loved that one) and Transformer gags up until the people have to catch up to you. ;)
Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beer holder :beers:
