Kinda makes you proud (for Suzuki) that their engines seem to be the go-to choice of some very creative engineers...

Here's the (American: Milwaukee WI) Hartley Enterprises with their development of Inline-4 and V-8 Suzuki Hayabusa-based engines:

I've seen a V8 that was based on Kaw 1200 Ninja engine.  It was built by a New Zealand company and was race in Midget race cars at the Chilbowl.  It was competitive but not a contender.
