Do belly pans actually DO anything, or are they just a way to add a splash of color?
I'm torn between adding lower fairings or a belly pan....

They make oil changes more difficult.

It adds 10mph to the top speed and .2 in the 1/4.
Sorry, even less informative than jeepskate.

My post was a joke but WAS informative. Alot of people like my brother don't think of those things until it's time to change the oil and realize that they have to remove this thing. And his is a pain in the ass to re-install since the bolt holes don't line up without alot of pushing, pulling, and swearing.

They look kick ass basically. I have a pyramid and it looks great. It really looks much better with it. It comes off pretty easy too. I like it alot better than without and also better than most of the other options.

Well one guy here had an oil leak and it helped not to spill the oil all over his driveway.
-
I'm pretty sure most race organizations require you to have something down there to catch oil should you start to bleed.

I didn't think about the oil change issue. Anybody got a pic to post? I'd like to see how it looks on your bike.

looks good & makes oil change more difficult.
I keep it on my bike, just to be different.
