Not long now...........
« on: February 19, 2008, 11:49:28 PM »
I was out on my Ural Patrol Sunday when I spied my first two wheeler of the year. An older dude on a Harley of some kind. Waved to him and to some skidoo'ers tearing up a farmers field. Counting the days till I can fire up the 'ole bandit again.

I guess you guys have a little less snow there than we do. Everything here not covered in ice, is covered in marbles (tons of gravel & sand).

We'll be 4+ weeks yet...

We've had next to no snow here so far (although a little is forecast today and Friday).  But the crews must feel they have to spread all their gravel anyway.  Every time it's the slightest bit slippery there's a ton of crap thrown down.  It will be quite a while before you can ride around here with any confidence.  I hate winter!   :annoy:

The World of Wheels is on this weekend in Cowtown....so can spring really be that far away ???
The glacier has receded from the door of my shed this last week and that's a good sign, too.
I feel your pain, Paul. You guys in the Kootenays DO get snow....in spades. My nephew and his buddies were in Fernie snowboarding about 2 weeks ago and it snowed every night they were there. They boarded in waist-deep powder every day for 6 days.
Oh well, this too will pass, as the ostrich said after he swallowed the baseball.
