Unfortunately there's no pic of me removing the "birth certificate" that was taped to the sheet of packing material over the nose of the fairing. I was all by myself at that time and just grabbed it off and quickly folded it up and put it in my truck before it disappeared. The bike went in the crate on Jan. 25th, 2006 at 18:09:21 Hamamatsu (Japan) time.....at least that's the date/time on the "certificate".....Whoo Hooo....a Wednesday bike........and I also got the final inspectors' tearoff tags form as well, which was attached to the L/H turn signal stalk. It's always nice to have the paperwork.....
Note the very sophisticated kick stand assist device to help keep her upright....since the crate bottom frame holding the wheels was about 2 inches or so higher than ground level.
Once the bike was rolled off the crate the KSAD was sent to the Mechanical Engineer's Hall of Fame in Lunkville, Saskatchewan for inclusion in the "Extraordinarily Clever Stuff" exhibit.

I am so insanely jealous...uncrating your own bike would be a one-in-a-lifetime experience, and the redesigned Bandit in that color red is absolutely beautiful!

Awesome!!!!!  How cool to see the whole procedure from the start.  What really caught my eye was the "tracked" ATV in the background.  Probably very common up yonder but I've never seen anything like that.

 :congrats:  on your new ride!!!

Very nice!

Last time I looked at a Bandit in that color, 2001 I think, the welds looked very sloppy so I bought the Drz instead. Your welds and seams look very professional. Nice and clean.

Congats. :congrats:

Enjoy all the rides. :beers:

The only way to top this is to go to Japan and take pictures of them assembling it, then loading it on the ship...

Well, gents, thanks for the kind words and a BIG thankyou to Herb (Desolation Angel) for taking the time to PM me the pic posting instructions.
 :thanks:  :thanks:  :thanks:
I kinda like Herb's idea of going to Hamamatsu and taking some pics of the assembly line....but I have a feeling that that "window of opportunity" is closed forever about the end of this month. The last classic Bandit 1200's that we know and love will be rolling off the assembly line about then since the carburated/air cooled engine will NOT meet the 2007 Euro emissions specs.
With the 2 biggest markets (US and Europe) closed to the carburated engine, I just can't see Suzuki continuing to produce it in ANY form for the few smaller markets still accepting such a relatively high-emission bike .
Soooo......the old original big-block Gixxer motor is finally laid to rest after 20+ years of faithful service.
The BIG question is: Will we get a Bandit 1400N and/or S ??? Or maybe a Bandit 1300 ??
All we can do is keep an eye out for spyshots in the mags and on the Net.
All will be OFFICIALLY revealed come September or October, fer shure.

Whatever happens the Canadians will probably still get a B12S just to annoy the rest of us.
