I put 40,000 miles on my 2003 1150RT. Traded it for my second Bandit. But the RT is a great bike. Sevicing is a bit expensive which is one reason I traded, plus I just missed my old Bandit and wanted another one. The stock seats, at least on mine was terrible. Get a Sergent or Corbin. I got a corbin, it was better than stock but too hard for me. I think I'd try Sergent next time. One supprising thing about the RT is that with the rear pre-load cranked up, it corners fantastic. The bike feels top heavy at parking lot speeds but that goes away once you are moving faster. Very neutral steering, and very quick steering, just as good as the bandit at the very least. Very stable bike, can't upset it or make it wobble. Easy to ride fast in the twisties. It took a very talented rider on a sportbike to leave me behind in the tight twisty stuff. Cornering clearance is about the same as the Bandit. Gottta go, late for work. More later.
