Anyone recommend (or link me to) the proper online chain-sprocket supplier for my B12?

Also, suggestions about which chain to use.. and sprocket company would be welcome, if possible. Who's got Quality and Price?

I've been looking at a DID 530 VM (best price so far, $143), OR an EK 530 SRX Premmium ($101).... and I'm thinking Renthal 16-tooth [+1 from stock].. $27; Sunstar steel rear, 45 teeth (stock).. $52.

Any thoughts? Am I on the right track?
I've been burning through chains every 10K miles or so, but I may have been using overly wimpy units before.

Go with the DID ZVM2 chain.  It'll last 20,000 miles at least.

The Suzuki OEM front sprocket is the best... it's durable and quieter than the aftermarket options.

Just about any steel rear sprocket from a reputable manufacturer, i.e. JT, Sunstar, AFAM, Vortex... will be fine.

If you're going to change gearing, do it on the rear sprocket.

Keep in mind going +1 up front on a B12 may require some minor clearancing to the sprocket cover.

The OEM sprockets are a little quieter since they have a rubber damper, but a name brand piece from any of the vendors PaulVS mentioned will be a good choice, just a tad noisier.

I have been running the 16-tooth front sprocket for a while to good effect, and yes, I had to file off (an insignificant) bit of the mounting boss on the inside of the sprocket cover for clearance. Easy and minimal.
I really like the gearing now. It still pulls roll-on wheelies off the throttle, (altough not as abruptly), and with the -16 front, the bike feel like it has a Sixth gear on the big road. Gas mileage is up 4-5 mpg on the highway.

One mechanic told me that there is some performance difference between going UP one tooth in front versus DOWN one in back, (or vice-a-versus).   Some ratio discrepancy involved  ...
Thoughts  ???

(Somehow I've brainlessly started two different threads that are slowly oozing together...)

The cheapest supply I've yet found online for a DID ZVM2 chain... with sprockets, is at a site called SPROCKETCENTER.com.  $154 for the chain; $220 includes appropriate AFAM steel sprockets, ($204 for unnamed-brand sprockets). Have not dealt with them as yet.

By the way, that DID chain ranges in price up to about $220 at Amazon.com. (chains at AMAZON?)

I would need to verify the price, but I can do a complete kit with a DID 530 ZVM2 with sprockets for $205.00 (if you live in CA, there is tax too) plus shipping. I use both AFAM and Drive System sprockets and both work very well. I can also vary the tooth size front and rear to some degree for that price.

I broke-down and ordered the kit last night from "the other guys" previously listed.. same price as you (which looks to be about the best around)... $204, + $10 shipping.
Missed you by a day... but will keep you in mind 4 later.
