You guys probably already know that, but for me it was my first tire change. I bought the bike with 8k miles and the factory tires. They were in terrible shape but even so I couldn't believe how different it would feel with the new tires. I so am so happy!
BTW I got the Shinko's 005 and I love them so far! Hopefully they will last...

yep, tires makes a difference.

Oh ya! I have a new Qualifier on deck for the SV. I have a front with 2800 miles on it. I'll finish wearing the tire out thats on it first, but will be looking foward to the change. I have Conti road attacks on the Bandit, still some life left in them for awhile too. Dan

Yeah, I remember the first time I got new tires, and last year was the first time I had new tires front and back at the same time. I do a lot of commuting, and I am not a real aggressive leaner when pleasure riding, so by the time my tires get replaced, they look like car tires rather that motorcycle tires (flat rather than donuts). New tires just let the bike fold over in curves/turns like clockwork. It's a whole 'nother feeling!

I didn't notice much of a difference with the rear, but I noticed a huge difference when I changed the front tire.

Same here. I replaced the OEM Macadam's with Metzler M1's and couldn't believe how much difference it made to the handling. Since then I've gone back to a Macadam on the rear - I get close to 3 times the mileage - but I still use a M1 on the front.
I have no idea what I'll use if Metzler stop making the M1.

Yep!!!! That's why we change them, to get that difference...Banditone1250s... :congrats:
