Manny,
In addition, if you want info on DRs etc. there's a DR section on maximum-suzuki.com and check www.thumpertalk.com.
Pete's a damn 650cc snob! :monkeymoon:
-
Naw, just providing a slot that wasn't really there, before....
The DR650 doesn't have much in common mechanically with the DR400's. I didn't like sifting through the unrelated stuff you have to on generic boards, to get to DR650 stuff.
Besides, it's the 'king of the sleeper dual sports', and deserves it's own throne.....

Pete, I like the DR and all (since it's on my short list) but that's a bit of a reach. :stickpoke:

What kind of power does the 650 make compared to the 400. I know it's got more tq, but HP isn't much different, I thought.
Any idea what the 0-60 times are? I was guessing around 5.5 sec but not sure.
-
Dunno about the quarter mile times. It accelerates well enough from stoplights. .
I think the 650
is around 34 HP stock. One guy just jetted and piped his DR, and is around 40 HP.
My engine is still stock. I may not do any 'performance' stuff.
It's reliable, and functional now, and I'm not really concerned about squeezing out every bit of possible potential.

I didn't find 0-60 times, but then my search wasn't too long or hard, but I did find 1/4 mile time... 14.6

That sounds about right, in 'normal' traffic, you don't have any problems escaping the cages.....
You won't be confused for a moped, or a GSXR, either....

I tried to sign in to the DR forum and it didn't accept my user ID and password from here, but when I tried to register new, it told me my user ID had already been taken
-
I'll check. You may have registered before.
-
You were registered, but not active. I activated your account, but didn't change anything.
You should be able to log in...
