Sh!t I wish I could get a group of Bandit riders together that large! This group from the ZRXOA meet once a month for rides like that. With riders from all over So Cal this is the second time I've been invited to attend could not meet a better bunch of riders.

I was the lone Bandit rider at his funeral when we buried Frank Pepito a couple of years ago.....Ask the Rex'ers about him, one of the nicest guys you could ever wanna meet.
The ZRXOA recently lost another one of their members Sam Brocato, Sam died at his own hand, and had been struggling mentally mostly due to the medications he was taking for other medical conditions. I enjoyed setting in front of Cycle Gear and BS'ing on the weekends! He was one of the most die-hard riders I had ever met, God Rest is Soul!

Man do I live in the wrong part of the world.
It's +8C today and the roads are still icy in the shadows. the long range is looking like colder everday for the next two weeks and bottoming out at -35 or -40C.
I went to the garage and started my bike and sat on it and then turned it off and went back in the house. Totally bummed.
It was nice to see your ride though. Spring is coming some day.
Thanks for the pictures

I got my Jan1st ride in. I beleive its my 1st. Usally we have snow up to our but at this time. Not as senic as So Cal,but I was out for a little over 60 miles anyway.Roads were wet and cold, I would have went longer but it started to rain,( and a little snow farther from the lake)I didn't know how long befor it would get icy so I ended while I was safe.(got the stragest looks from pepole) I took the SV,still getting uesd to it. I wanted to do back to back rides on both bikes, but I'll wait for better weather. Supposed to be nice later this week, but I'm leaving for Cleveland this morning to work the rest of the week. I could really use some hand gaurds to block the cold wind for winter rides. Insulated Carharts keep my body temp in check, but even with snowmobile gloves, my hands freeze out.
"Excuse me sir,but I just wanna ride!" Dan

I remember those desperate days riding in Ohio I used to take my dirt bike out in the snow and come back looking like frosty! I have to say I dont miss the sinders they used on the roads as a means of traction control!

I threw a post out there asking about a get together of the Bandits in the S. Cal/AZ region. It would be cool to get a group of us together over a 3 or 4 day weekend.

I noticed the Rexers don't let you park in their group though...
Or is that YOUR choice. :monkeymoon:

My choice, I was going to stick my bike out front for the picture but did not want to stand out like a turd in a punch bowl!(http://techhelpers.net/e4u/drink/trink40.gif) (http://techhelpers.net/e4u/drink/trink13.gif)

Wouldn't it stick out more like a diamond in a litter box? :beers:

I see you were up in the Angeles Forest ( not too sure where Bear Divide is ) but I was underthe impression that riding through there has gotten rather burdensome what with all the police. Last time I was up there, about a year ago, we saw more than a few LEO's and felt damned lucky to have gotten out of there without being pulled over. Mind you we gave them no reason to pull us over but since when has that stopped them. Word on the street is that they are real pricks about even the small stuff, like loud pipes. I have been told they simply look for pipes that aren't stock and ticket based on that. My friend got stopped and ticketed for loud pipes just cause his pipes looked funny. Lucky for him he is an audio engineer and he took a VU meter to court to prove the decible level. The judge said that wouldn't be necessary and dismissed the ticket.
So what say you about the ease of riding up there in regards to local law enforcement.

Bear Divide is up on Little Tujunga Canyon Road, nice little technical ride I like to do on the weekends for a short blast! The pictures were taken around point C on the map.

Ruff road but the Air Rescue station is on top of the mountain and the views are killer!
