Ran across this publication recently.  Rather serious look at motorcycles and culture, written mostyl be riders, but not as reviews or technical stuff.  For example:

"Getting Past the Stereotypes: Women and Motorcycles in Recent Lesbian Novels"

"Forty Years Later: Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels"

Burned Out:  Review of the film Torque (2004)
2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200S | el Bandido de Cerceta | the teal bandit
2010 Yamaha FJR1300A | Gin Tama | the silver bullet
2002 Honda CRV | the dirt-colored car

Interesting. I'll be digging through their work over the next few days.

I found one tidbit that sums up my green reason for riding:
Quote
It’s an economical internal combustion machine, embodying the contradiction between our love of engines and the recognition that our profligate use of them is destroying the planet.

Funny, because what do so many of us (including myself) do?  Go out and burn through as many tanks of gas as we can just for the fun of riding.  I figure my commutes to work offset the 1400+ miles I killed in the Rockies last week, or the 1600+ miles I killed in KY around Memorial Day, huh?
