Been riding local (in and outta the rain) for a couple of months now but heading out to meet some riding buds in Astoria, Oregon Friday night. My trip is via the "back door" south from Vancouver, through Bellingham, ferry to Pt. Townsend, Hood canal and on down over the big bridge. The other 6 are coming from Eastern BC down along the Columbia.
Our plan is to 101 it down to Crescent City and head back up to Crater Lake and then tool around Eastern Oregon and Washington for several days. This coast boy is really looking forward to riding some dry country!
There'll be 2 Banditos on the run, mine and "pmackie" on his 600. The rest are a good mixture including a fellow breaking-in a brand new V-Star that he picked up today.
Should log about 3600+ clicks in 6 - 7 days. Yahoo!(http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i79/cargo7/BanditApr2006.jpg)[/img]

Awesome...... Enjoy, Ride Safe and be sure to take some more pictures.

Be sure to remind the V-Star rider to keep the rpms varied during break-in. Steady-state running is bad ju-ju for a new engine!
Sounds like a fun ride! :bigok:
Hope you can stay dry while on the western side of the Cascade Curtain! :beers:
While we've been bitchin about how expensive gas has been getting lately, it's still cheaper down here than up there, so enjoy the cheap gas, too!

Well - 7 riders - 6 days - 3400km. From rain & snow to 100 degrees. Doesn't get much better than that. The 2 Banditos performing as advertised. Coupla cool photos attached. Thanks to the fine citizens of Washington and Oregon for taking it all in stride!
