Title: Full fairing vs partial fairing?

Looking at a couple of 1250s, are there any downsides to getting the fully faired one, or is it just a case of personal preference?

I'd be doing my own maintenance, are the full fairings an obstruction/a pain to get off?

Just got my own 1250 SA, fully faired. When I got it, the lower fairings were off the bike. I prefer the look with them on, so I put 'em on.  First time ever, no manuals, lol, and it only took 15 minutes.  Could probably put them on/off in 7 or 8 minutes if not less. Easy.
