Now I know you guys work on us gallons and I dont have the conversion.
But heres the conversion to imperial gallons
$1.36 per litre, regular gas.
600 ml = I imperial pint.
8 pints = 1 gallon
1 imperial gallon = 4.8 litres
= $6.52 per imperial gallon.

You can get the conversion real easy (along with lots of other conversions) for free.
Josh Madison's Convert program

I find it's a very handy tool!

1 US gallon = 0.8326738 Imperial gallon
1 Imperial gallon = 1.20095 US gallon

1 US gallon = 3.785412 Liters (or litres)

Nice one Paul  :thanks:

In Reply to Desolation Angel's comments about using domesticly produce oils. Yes we should to, but along with you guys we, joined OPEC too.
So the price of oil, whether its domestic or imported crude oil, the price is governed by some oil sheik, needing feed all them wives etc.
Hey Kev25v6, you reckon your being stiffed.
At my local BP severo, when the price was $1.16 per litre, had a graph sign up, to show where our money was going. Of the $1.16, 0.47 cent went to the oil company, the rest went in fuel excise tax, state tax, federal tax, and wait for it Goods and services tax.

Just this week I converted our courier van to LPG fuel, ok I don't like it, as I've had drama's with it in the past. It runs the engine 3 times hotter, it does not have any lube quaities at all, so its hard on valves and heads, and if not managed it will kill engines in no time. But at 46cents a litre, it sure has one huge good point, PRICE
now to manage the LPG. run it regularly on petrol, and also run a vacum supplied upper cyclinder lube setup. Here's the run down so far.
Daily use of petrol was $35- 40 per day
Now with LPG $5 petrol $11 LPG $1 flash lube.
More than halved our daily running bill for a $620 outlay.
Foot loose and fancy free.

$1.139 /L here...so using this conversion we're @ $4.29/US Gallon...convert that to US$ and it's $3.74/ gallon....AND THAT'S REGULAR 87!

The AA in the UK publish a table of national and international fuel prices each month. Here is the one for March 2006 ~(Word document):-

http://www.theaa.com/onlinenews/allaboutcars/fuel/2006/March2006.doc

US petrol worked out at 36.46p a litre. UK average price was 90p a litre (67.2% tax).

All the best

By the middle of our summer, we'll be paying about 1/2 of what you pay.

Americans are about to start freaking out.

We can all be like euro/asian teens and get honda50 supercubs.
@ over 100mpg - 40mph, for local trips you don't need to buy gas.
Even old bandit400 gas tanks leak faster than that.

Just roll over to a gas station and start pouring the leftover
gas in all the nozzles.  Most people leave plenty of gas in there.
Especially in diesel nozzles; not many diesel bike options though.
I had to get in the habit of holding nozzles upward because I kept
spilling fuel everywhere.

I've read a few articles about this, summer is coming and journalists
are recycling their stories about gas again.

Its coming $8-10 gas = inevitable.
But North Americans will get over it and find ways to have more fun than everyone else in the end anyway.

And with the latest hiccup in the world oil prices last night, some servo's here in Melb, Aust, are charging $1.49 per litre for regular unleaded.
Thats $5.64 per US gallon, or $6.77 per imperial gallon.
And the tip is, its going up more, and soon.
Sure glad on converted the work van to LPG, its still only $0.44 per litre,
Thats like $1.66 per US gallon.

From what I understand from the news reports the latest price hike is the yanks fault.   Sorry if that upsets anyone, but that's what "Brian told me"

Depending on the location, we're already starting to see $3 US gal gas up here. Discount stations are in the 2.80's for regular and super or diesel is over $3. Name brand stations, like Shell are close to or over $3 for regular unleaded, especially in resort areas or near the freeway.
