I was wondering if you have GIVI sidecases and if they effect the comfort of the passenger. If the cases are in the way to the footpegs or something.

I am specially intrested in E36 (The economy 36L case). Link below:

According to my local GIVI dealer, Midwest Cycle Supply, in Minneapolis the E36 has been discontinued and only remaining stock is available.

I haven't verified that with GIVI but these guys sell lots of GIVI luggage.

I had Givi's E36 bags on my ZX6E and they didn't interfere at all. I'm surprised to hear that they would discontinue one of their most popular bags.
There's nothing sweeter than the feeling I get leaned over in a long sweeper while the sun shines over fields of wind-swept grasses and trees that bracket me, the bike, and the warm lovely sitting tightly against my back.

I haven't had a passenger with my E36s, but my wife said that her heels would hit the E21s when she tried to move her feet back. Not a big deal, but it was a bother on long stints when she wanted to stretch her legs.

I had the E36's and they were great.  They double as passenger grab rails.  No problem at all.

I going to buy the e41s when the funds are available. It seems a shame to have to pay that much for plastic suit cases. There is only about $10 of plastic and hardware involved in those things. It's the labor and extruder/die plates that make the things so darned expensive. H.D.P.E.[High Density Polyethylene ]is less than $2 a pound at current prices. I make the stuff for a living as well as being one of the Plant site EMTs.

Sorry obout the misinformation re: the GIVI E36 bags.  It's the E34 and E38 bags that are discontinued.  GIVI is temporarily out of stock on the E36s.

Midwest Cycle Supply in Minneapolis has a large stock of them, you can check out their prices at <www.midwestcycle.com>.  You can call them at 612-825-9774 -- ask for Jay, he'e the resident GIVI expert.  They usually discount substantially.

They've been ni business for more than 25 years and are very reputable, I've dealt with them for that span of time and never had a problem.

Actually I lied.  I did have one "issue" and that was that those suckers sealed so tight that a change in altitude would have them hopelessly sucked shut.  One time I went from 5000' down to 2000' and the lid was significantly concaved!
Simple fix is a tiny pin hole somewhere water won't flow in.

A better, but not as simple fix would be to put a vent valve on them... like a gas can.

Like Manny I had E36's on my Bandit and my better half loved the fact that they could be used as hand holds...on the Aprilia the bags are much lower and she can't reach them ! Hench the E52 trunk and Gel backrest. Something else to consider..Givi really stands behind thier products. The paint came off one of my 3 year old bags and I sent it back to them and it came back with a new color matched lid! Only cost was shipping it to N.C. Good Folks and good product.
