Check out the 'Look at the confidence' on the passenger's face...
and the 'oh shit !' look on the rider's face...

thats crazy....

PhotoShop chop!
-
It definitely fooled me !
What flaw in the photo gave it away ? I still can't find it, I don't doubt you, just can't find the inconsistency in the photo.... Now I'm gonna be staring at this thing for 20 minutes, THANKS!
-
that is photoshop no doubt about it
-
Well for one there is the lack of sparks from the dragging exhaust tips.
-
that is what I first saw
-
Yeah, I saw that too, kinda wrote it off as 'well it's posible it hadn't had time to get a good scrape yet'...
But, after yall had me obsessing over loking at it... it appears the rider has some pressure on the back brake-the toes in the boot show some pressure in the crease....
I know Goldwings can and will wheelie, the power to wt ratio is there... and I've seen it done...
But, I agree, the pics definitely a chop shop job... :beers:

This is an interesting photo. It could be photoshop as I think the rear tire would be more flatened out with that much weight. But, its strange how the front wheel is stopped but the rear is in motion. The tailpipes wouldn't have to spark if the speed was slow enough. If the photo was taken with the bike level, the passenger sure knew what angle to put his head at to make it look like its level in the wheelie mode. The operator did a good job also with his feet to make it look like he had them forward on the pegs for a good grip. I know a talented rider can get a Goldwing to wheelie, I'm thinking it might be real.

I saw this more than a year ago on another forum with both the current background...and then with another with the bike horizontal. Exactly the same pic.
It's a funny pic, though! Like the one with the 500lb white guy on a sport bike practically standing on it's tailpipe (I know some of you have seen it), yet he's in a relaxed and completely normal riding position...even though you or I would be dangling from the handlebars.
I'll try to find it and post it. But while I'm looking, I offer this for entertainment purposes...

Found it!

NOT REAL!
-
From what I've heard that photo is real, it was in Performance Bikes a couple of years ago during a shootout. Sadly, the driver is no longer with us. He died in a motorcycle accident shortly thereafter.
Yes, Hondabagos can wheelie. There were a couple of pics at the Gap with a guy who was scraping the pipes.

The guy on the back is photoshopped but I don't think the whole thing is.
I guess th rear tire would be more flat if all that were sitting on it, but the tire does deflect at the right spot and the front suspension looks un-compressed.
Also look at the riders line of sight. If it were photoshopped in from a normal pic, he'd be looking up, er, straight.
-
Neat trick how he got the rear mag to appear in motion but not the front...
I think we ought to be discussing the attributes of the female wheelie-er, myself, but y'all decide.
-
Either she is photoshopped too or her t!ts defy gravity
-
Forget her t!ts (I'll handle those), but notice her hair hangs to the left, as opposed to straight down as gravity would have it.
On the other hand...I would. :bigok: :bigok:
-
Forget her t!ts
No way dude :monkeymoon:

MMMM.. Jugs wheelie . . . (http://www.scootplace.net/smiles/original/236.gif)

I think you guys need to put your glasses on, there are sparks behind the tailpipes. And I'm thinking the pass. was just cheesing for the camera in a very Chris Kattan way.
As for the other pic, I'd hit it :bigok:
-
The reflection on the Goldwing's front disc cover (horizon of a green field) would lead one to believe that this is a real photo...of course, that reflection could have been created with image software? I vote that the over-all photo is genuine.

Oh... hey, your right, there -are- sparks! Damn, I need new glasses
-
I am sure it is real. I saw this picture many years ago during a roadtest in Motorcyclist magazine, '91/'92 I believe. There was also a shot of the rider sitting in the pillion seat at highway speed with a caption discussing the virtues of cruisecontrol.
-
It is from a Brit bike rag, Performance Bikes, rider is Ronnie Smith. :bigok:
eh

Now Murphy being Murphy, now that its said, now some stupid plick, like a younger version of me will prove everyone wrong and do it.
I remember in 80, everyone said no-one would be able to get a 80 FXWG flame glide power monoing, Well let me tell ya all, it can be done, ok it aint cheap but with B grind cams S&S Carb, Dyna S ignition, avgas, and some minor gearing changes you can get them vertical, but **** me standing, it will scare the living bejesus out of ya. :duh: cause I had to run home to change me undies.
Yep I aint changed a bit in all that time. just me rides. :beers:

Fake. The sunlight is hitting the fenceposts from the left and hitting the bike from the right.
-
Des.
When you snatch the fronf tire off the ground from a dead stop it dosen't rotate
-
Fake. The sunlight is hitting the fenceposts from the left and hitting the bike from the right.
What makes you think that? The bike is casting a shadow from the left foreground towards the right background and the sun is reflecting in the rear saddlebag.
If the wheelie was pulled on the roll, the front wheel will stop rotating if it stays up long enough.
-
If you copy the photo to an editing program, and then blow it up 500-600%, there's some unexplainable 'smearing' between the bottom of the rear wheel, and the muffler. The riders foot has been played with, and there's some editing up by his hip, also.
-

If you look close enought, you can see some sparks aft of the exhaust.

The sun flares on the bike, the bags, the helmets all come from the right. Look at the front fork tube above the seal, bright in front, dark in back. Now look at the fence post, dark in front, bright in back. Ta-Daa!
-
Once everyone is in agreement that it is faked, what do I win?

You have won your choice of the following:
A FREE Mustache ride from Rosie O'Donnell, or.....
The right to NOT claim your prize!
-
You are ONE SICK PUPPY! :duh:
-
I vote real. Atleast the wheelie and the dude on the front.
-
There's a picture of a two-up wheelie (little one, but one all the same) on www.killboy.com I don't know the date of the link, but it's in the "Your Pictures" link. Hmmmm
