What you think counts! Its still a Bandit to me and i'm still a brother rite? I'm thinking of stripping the OEM's lip and maybe paint the center and spokes. Too much shiney stuff here. And cleaning needed all the time.

I am the antibling. Brushed stainless looks nice, but IMO chrome gets old quick. I like the gunmetal gray look of the 1st gen bandit wheels, with the lip polished/clearcoated. Low maintenance, durable, doesnt show dirt.
After all, black
is
the new bling.
BTW, love those twin yosh's. That looks killer.

If you like the brite stuff then yea, looks good. I have to agree with GSFstiny--Black is the new bling. I have already emliminated 50 perecent of the shiney stuff on my bike. But none the less looks good.

Shoot, I like the chrome. I wouldn't like to clean it but it does look nice.

Leave it shinny Reg. You don't have too much mud down your way.As long as all the work is already done to get it that way, shouldn't be too hard to keep it that way
Thats my vote, and I'm stickin' to it. Dan

Not sure I get your question, D. You bought chrome rims? Or borrowed some to see what they look like? Stock are black? In any case, chrome fits on a 'Busa. I like it.

Glad you said it. I think the best bling is brake dust and the little rubber balls that find their way onto my wheels.

I voted that you should keep it, but personally I ride EVERY day, rain, hail or shine so that much bling would look real nasty real quick.
If it was a 'show'n'shine' bike then I'd do it.

It's not what I would pick for myself, but it does look nice.
I prefer the polished edge on a standard black rim, or ever the coloured rim band.

Thanks all for the comments and votes. I just got in from the garage with aching back, from removing the black paint on the lip of the back OEM wheel. I like the look of the satin virgin aluminum myself. Chrome is just too much bling for me! They are good looking in a show boat kinda way. I got a heck of a deal from a Hayabusa.Org member who needed the bucks i guess. And the chromer (Sportschrome) stood behind it even though i was the second owner, it had a patch that peeled off. Now they are both Front and rear perfect. Wheels and tires BT014's with less than 200 miles were on the wheels and after shipping i got them for less than the exchange wheels go for on Ebay. So that's why the turkey strips are there. No miles from me. The TRS Old style Yoshi's i got from the clearance area that Yoshimura has on their site. You have to establish an account to buy when they list but they are discounted for about half of what most on ebay want.

Ok the latest tinkering stuff I'm not doing any more. I think
I kinda need the $$ i got in the chrome wheels for the holiday expenses and daughter getting hitched and and etc etc! So the exhaust and wheels / tires are on ebay! The latest today, the fender got the axe! What ya think ????
