* He was traveling at a speed of approximately 75 mph at the time of the accident . He was unable to negotiate a curve in the road . Unfortunately for him , upon striking the ditch and being ejected from the bike , he landed back end first on a fencepost from an old barnyard fence that was downed on the side of the road.   :duh:  :crybaby:  :annoy:

I wish you would've told me sooner i sold my cycle! Its a relief to know it wasn't a bike that was part of it!  Geezer :duh:

Not to comment on this particular post, which I first saw a couple years ago, I seem to spend half my time replying back to folks who send stuff that has long ago been discredited by Snopes (and other services).  I wish people would treat email like gossip...don't repeat (forward) things you can't be sure are true.

Sorry! they sure suckered me! Stuff like this got me going 10 mph slower anyway.... Oh and it was fresh on another site so its makin its rounds again!  :shock:  :beers:

What makes me cringe is when a fellow man walks past another in trouble and doesnt do a damn thing to help !!!!!! :sad:
By the way I sold my boat and truck just in case. :monkeymoon:

sounds like a plan to me.

I dont think it really matters if this is a real story  of a man crashing his bike or not. Cos even if that one false, it dont matter, cos there are a lot of crashes worse than that one.

A few words of advice, (unsolicited -of course). Whether this post is true or not, it certainly has one part that adds up...  certainly not the total recovery part.
I have been a Ski Patrol for a long time, (similar to Paramedics on the Ski Hill). One of our basic tenants is NOT to remove impaled objects on site. Wherever we can, we sever the object and stabilize it. Why? It makes a plug for hemoraging during transport.
