This one was lucky! Or was it skill? What should the rider have done other than not ride that day?

I'm no canyon carving expert, but my amatuer analysis says that maybe he should stay on his own side of the road.  That skill would go a long ways in prolonging his life.  Next time he won't be so lucky.

I think he got out of it because cars coming the other way were crawling.

this came up on some other forum recently. some of those guys thing he might have clipped the first car just a bit.

I think he hit the corner too fast and was still on the brakes and didn't have the presence of mind to let off the brakes and lean that thing over. squidly for sure. Theres a longer version of it that shows them riding like total idiots before they get to this point.

+1

He wasnt going excessively fast...get off the brakes and lean that thing.   He may have gotten onto the center line and the front wheel let go a little and he panicked.  If thats the case he was coming in too wide to begin with. I dunno, but natural selection is not on his side.
I used to think the brain was the most fascinating organ in the body.  Then I thought, 'well sure, look who's telling me that.'

If i did that i'd probably go ahead and erase the evidence rather than show the planet that they just missed not having to deal with me anymore. :stickpoke:

Does anyone know what rode that future darwin award winner was messing up  on?  I would swear that it was Ortega Hwy. heading down hill into Lake Elsinore.  That is such a cool road to play on but it never misses the opportunity to eat the unwary.  If it was Ortega we all missed a great bit of video and all because he didn't have the good sense to pop over the top of the guard rail and take the short cut to the bottom.  Oh well! If he doesn't learn to ride maybe his estate will get to publish again.  Or better yet he might get some training and ride happily into the future.

To answer Daytona's question. He should not have bought a bike he could'nt control.
The only thing that matters is how fast you can get from 0 to 60, because top speed is secondary
