I am interested...

Started looking at tracks on my own to get an idea of what its like.  Will need the training, full leather suit, time, money, and the wife's approval though.

If you combine it with a BOSS rally, you could have that at TWO in North GA and do the track day for those who are interested at Road Atlanta.  It's only like an hour away.
That way you have more people and a lot of Bandit owners would probably come to the track just to watch and get familiar with what a track day is all about... even if they don't actually get on the track that day.

I've found that's the best way to educate the average rider that a track day is not really about racing.

I guess it doesn't have to be at R.A., but that the only place I can think of that's got a track near good riding areas.
Maybe 29Dreams and Talladega/Barber would be an option.

Road Atlanta and Barber both require a full weekend rental and a deposit in the neighborhood of $10,000+ in advance.  I'm pretty sure Barber is already completely booked for the upcoming season...  Not sure about Road Atl...   Talladega GP probably has some open dates, but you'd have to be flexible around their schedule...

 Jennings is probably reasonable also.

I rode at Jennings a couple of weeks ago..  I believe I saw that their fee is now $3,995 for a day.  That cost includes starter, corner workers, and stand-by ambulance crew...  Talladega is a bit less, but their price does not include those extras...

What's the fee to rent Nelson for the day?  What Ambulance costs, etc?

The last I hear, you could do Roebling for like $2000 for a week day, as long as less than 10 people were on the track at a time, you didn't need an ambulance.
Just threw that out for cost comparison.

They do that to work around insurance company rules..  You ride on one of those days and you are well & truly on your own....

+1 for the ambulance..  Riding on the track is safer in many ways, but it doesn't make it totally safe by any means...  Particularly with a group of trackday novices..

Okay heres the deal everyone can suggest a track but i dont see anyone cutting us a deal except BOB he is gonna have the waiver forms for all to sign and you can camp for free that means if ya wanna do a monday ya can camp sunday or monday night if to tired to ride drive home! Other tracks prices are off the chain ! this would be a exclusive bandit alley track day ! mainly for the bandit alley but all are welcome ambulances and control riders! If we get more than 20 the price goes down for everyone ! we need 500.00 to secure a date a decision of mon, tues ,thurs!  And a free mini school for track riding free of cherge buy the man the mith, the legend  BOB STANLEY of fasttraxx! And im sure he will bring his colection of Vanson leathers that get set back and checked out by vanson every year ! For those that need to rent leathers So if some one's want to post up the loot we will get a date! Or if someone want to go to another track feel free to contact them and see if you can make the arangements that i have with another organization! But this is the effort that im putting into it , it would be a hoot! So any one willing to come email me personally and ill make a file, Anyone with the spare loot that wants to get a date or a couple of peeps close that could go anytime  that want to pre register we will get a date send money!
cheers

Too bad about Mid Ohio having an exclusive deal with STT. That is one track I would really like to ride and it would help to fill out my eastcoast ama tracks that I want to ride. I have done Road Atlanta, VIR, Barber and a measly couple of laps at Road America. I've never been to Nelson
and have never even considered it. But a Bandit track day there could be fun.

Like Mark said, Road Atlanta and Barber are way pricey. I know that our Floribama Riders track weekend at Barber is in excess of $25,000.
And little Talladega is a very sporty and cost effective small track.

I did read that DIS-Daytona is available and it is only $6000 with all the cornerworks and ambulance. Now that! would be interesting.
