I left this am about 7.30 and drove to Winston-Salem. Took about 2 hrs and 20min. Here is the good...
Givi Rack (with back rest), Aftermarket windscreen, flashing brake light thingy, Holeshot handlebar riser w/braided brake lines (not installed yet), , engine case gards, new front tire, but still needs a rear soon IMO. Runs good.
The not so good. It is dirty. It was owned by a 60ish year old man who liked to ride and not clean. Nothing I cannot take care of tomorrow. The only maint he has done to it was oil changes. I need to change spark plugs, filter, syn the carbs, and adjust the valves. Since it needed the Valves adjusted I talked him down to $3400.
2 questions. Should go Bridgestone BT020 or the Avon St for a new rear tire. Also, which after market manul would you suggest, Haynes or Clymer?

Congrats on the purchase. I can't help you with your tire question, but matching the rear to the new front is probably a good bet.

If a little dirt is the only problem and helped keep the price down, great. Have fun. My bike certainly isn't the cleanest bile around. My tme is tight and if it comes to cleaning or riding, I'm riding. I'll bribe the kids to clean it for a ride!

What tires does it have on it now?
The BT 020 is decent, The Avons are supposed to be......I think the current 'favorite' is the Metzler z6 roadtec or whatever they call it.
I have both manuals, and don't really have a preference.
:congrats:
