Unreal Control on a Honda CBR600 (http://www.dump.com/2011/02/24/unreal-control-on-honda-cbr600-video/)
-
Looks like the motorcycle gymkhana. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gymkhana_(motorcycle))
Did you notice the stunt bike-like size of that CBR's rear sprocket?
-
Good catch on the rear sprocket, but it make sense at the low speed of these corners.
I also think it's neat how he has to turn "into" these low speed turns, more like on dirt, as oppossed to counter steering.
It is pretty cool to watch, and even though I try to scrub in new tires in a parking lot using a similar style, I know it doesn't look like this!!
-
Notice the lack of clip-ons, too? Bars on a CBR600!
-
Missed the bars first time around, but that makes sense, too. More leverage for those quick directional changes.
-
no matter what his bike setup is like that's still some majorly impressive riding. I'm 99% positive i'd have binned it and 100% positive i'd have bottled out of some of those manouveurs.
This guy certainly deserves a :beers:
