You have to admit, that makes a pretty sweet crib :bigok: :stickpoke:

Cool flick. :bigok:

I always hang my helmet from the the mirror by running the mirror thru the face opening. The helmet is nearly impossible to knock off the bike this way. Never really thought of the additional benefit of keeping birds from nesting in it, but it would probably be good for that, too.

Put a top case on your bike and store your helmets in there!
Mine holds two, or 8 dozen donuts. Depends on your priorities.

Herb. I really like the top case what is it and where did you get it, I have a 2005 B12 I would like to put the same set up on.

Hi, the luggage rack, top kit, and top case are Givi products (Italian). I believe you can order them from shops like Cycle Gear or even your dealer. I got my BMW and Suzuki Givi accessories from a seller on eBay. He is Midwest Cycle. E-mail him at ebay@midwestcycle.com and he usually answers in a day or two. I've bought several things from him, no problem. He doesn't have these particular Bandit accessories listed for auction at the moment, but that doesn't matter. Drop him an e-mail and give him the year/make/model info and he can order for you from Givi. That's how I got my Bandit stuff. Got it in under two weeks (came straight from the factory), which I thought was good.
Just for an idea of price, he's got the top case and kit and so forth listed for an Intruder, but you can use this page to sort of check him out.

Oh, and the top case does NOT come with the back pad. If you want that, mention that to him, too. It's Givi as well, of course.
You'll love it! It's huge, which some don't like, but I like a place to put two helmets and miscellaneous gear; really, really handy. Plus it makes my passengers feel way more secure, which is important!
You can see it a bit better in this pic...

I have two Givi E-36 bage that I side mount but they are so packed with the stuff that I carry back and forth to work and rain gear that there is no room for the helmet :duh:
If I put any more bags on it'll look more like a water buffalo than a dragon.
the local cagers slow down now because I look like a motor deputy in the RV mirror

I think that's a Carolina Wren. Pretty cool, but makes it hard to ride when you have a nest in your helmet.

I grew tired of travelling with poor carrying capacity and put on three the same. It works pretty well and have done up to 230K twice with the bags on, (chasing some sport riders once and an exotic sports car another... both on sparsely travelled roads). There's still some ponies left, but the buffeting makes this the end for me, even with the bikini fairing.
I tell you guys, it's nice to be able to pack extra clothing, laptop etc. The weather up here lately is nuts ranging from 12 to 33C (55 to 92F). It's nice to have a choice of what to wear.
What I find at bike nights, however, is that a Bandit with ANY bags is neither fish nor fowl. The Cruiser, Harley, pure sports guys take one look at it and look away... "not one of our type", I guess. But with a few exceptions they have very little space to pack very much. I suspect that many of them are lying when they claim their soft bags are waterproof.

All 4 of my dirt bike helmets have nests in them....looks like a birdy apartment complex . By the way....you need to spray insecticide in there befor you wear your helmet again...birds carry lice! Having an itchy head at 75 mph would be pure hell.[not spoken from experience]

Yeeeaaah.... each time I had to tear the helmet apart and clean it compleatly. The last time it had started the daily cycle of afternoon rain so all the good nesting material was soaked and so was the inside of the helmet. smelled like the pond in the back yard.
