It's down right negilgent for a diabetic not to eat properly and get behind the wheel.

100 days in jail + $5,000 for Second Degree manslaughter? What's this world coming too.

Well at least he did SOME jail time and his political career is at an end so a little justice was served......instead of the little tap on the wrist that most politcos get if they run afoul of the law.
Unfortunately the HD rider is still dead. It looks like the family will have their day in court re their lawsuit....which will probably end up getting settled out of court.....and the taxpayer picking up the whole tab in the end. That's what REALLY bites the big one, IMO. There are no winners in this one, unfortunately....

I didn't follow the story but read the link above. Since he is a former politician I was first thinking maybe they are covering up a DUI but that doesn't happen anymore, or mabe he haden't slept after a night of party and the diabetic thing is an excuse. But if he did dose off from a diabetic episode I don't think I can fault him at all, otherwise what's next, hart attack victims for smoking, stroke victims for not taking blood thinners, anorexics for not eating.

I don't buy the "I didn't eat all day" BS.  I read somewhere when this first happened that Janklow had a propensity for driving fast and running signs.  I think he is just another douche that abused his powers and got away with it.  i hope the family cleans him out in court.

Dunno.  I spent 6 hours in jail, waiting for my wife and employer to post bail.  I managed to plea everything down to no jail or prison time,  three years probation and 10k in court costs and attorney fees.

My charges you ask?
Two counts of attempted murder.
Two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

10 more months and I'm a free man.

WOOOOOOO Now he's a big bad scary criminal! What next? Former navy seal, ex-special forces super-commando??? Hahahaha your a funny guy! You sure can tell stories!
I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! YOU CAN'T FOOL ME!!!
