Brother bought a Bandit
« on: June 14, 2006, 08:07:26 AM »
My trip to St.Clairsville got pushed back a couple days while waiting for tile,I'll be leaving this morning for the land of good roads. Well it worked out well, because I had time to stop a local dealer Mon,gary(the manager) told me about the Bandit he just picked up still in the back pole barn. So on my way out I checked it out. A 2004,I thought it was green, but actully black. Turned it on and had only 830 miles on it. I called my bro to tell him and he said he took a test ride on a Kaw 1000 Concord, and was going to buy it. I convinced him to look at the Bandit 1st. On my way home I got a call from my bro,and he bought the Bandit. He's thrilled! I took her for a ride, definatly smoother and more comfortable seat then my 1st generation. But mine feels lighter up front where the new bike you use a little more push- pull on the bars.Must be the diference in weight of the fairing. My bro told my wife,"Now I no why Dan is such a good rider, its the bike!" Glad I could help steer him in the direction of the Bandit. He paid $5700,probably could have bargined a little better. But it is a new bike as far as miles, still getting broke in.    Dan

I let my my buddy ride my Bandit yesterday. This is after he bought one of those 650 single cylinder cruisers...not sure wich one. After he got back with my Bandit he realised his mistake in buying the 650.  Hopefully he'll chuck it and find a good naked bike. Doesn't even have to be a Bandit just something that will handle the curves with aplamb and have a few more horses under the tank. A friend of his called him while we were visiting and said he was at the Hammond, La Harley dealership and wanted to know wich bike he should by. Jon told him"screw a Harley...go find a used Bandit!".

Gotta love it when you can infect someone like that.
