I was watching "Mad Max" Tuesday night and I noticed a lot of older Kawasaki KZ 1000s. I noticed that "Goose"( motorcycle cop) was running 110mph when the camera shot a picture of the dash. Awsome bikes with good performance, but the rear wheel looked smaller the the stock B6 (1st gen.) 150.

I thought they were KZ550's or some-such. Its been a while. You know most of those bikes were volunteers too... local boys I think.
-
they were definately KZ1000's
and yeah they'd have about a 120 rear tire max!

That's the front tire on most bikes nowadays.

Mad Max, one of my all time favourite movies.
The best part is that it was filmed around the area that I lived as a kid
Anarkie is infact a town called Anakie - the scenes on the dual laned freeway is the old Werribee bypass (between Melbourne and Geelong). The scene where Max and his Mrs are buying the dog is Altona....hell I could go one for hours.....
The bikes used were mainly Z900's, the same bikes (and alot of the same actors infact) that were in the other great Aussie bike film, Stone.....

:thanks: for the info Aussie. Those are interesting facts about the movie.
