Squidly, no doubt, but worthy of respect nonetheless

hmmm, well done I guess but, yes buttt, how many cage drivers said cool, how many said F*#*wit. We all say F*#* what the hell cage drivers say, but at the end of the day, I spose in WA the freeways would be so boring, just like our Dume fwy, that you need to do shyte like that to break up the boredom... We in Aust still have a lot to learn about fwy building and design. The Germans have got it right, straights will be no longer than, what ever it is. :taz:

I guess these videos are always accompanied by thrash metal because there are so many unsigned bands who will let you use their music for no cost?

Actually,... the first one is Rob Zombie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Zombie),.... signed artist...
I didn't listen long enough to find out the rest.
edit: OK, second one is Born to be Wild, Steppenwolf
edit2: Last one is a signed artist as well: Hot Action Cop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Action_Cop) Performing "Dirt bike Rider". Never heard of these guys, but that song is hilariously bad.

That's a long one all right... but he's gotta go a lot further than that to beat the record!
(Last I heard, it was 206 miles - or ~332 km.)

I didn't recognize the first track, and I turned down the audio, not realizing it would be a medley. Still, it sounded just like the St. Louis-area bands that fill the C&I videos by the Street Fighterz. It was the same sort of footage they have, too.
I was just trying to make a general comment that these "stunt" videos all look and sound the same.
I'm sure Zombie is getting royalties for use of his music, huh? (as if!)

Yeah, it had a weird beginning, even r_outsider didn't recognize it right away, and he's a white/rob zombie fan.

I agree. Some of my favorites (from Dr sardonicus) are like that too. Though the footage is -way- better from DS.

Oh fer sure!!! I'm sure he is!!

Off the subject of music choices with stunt videos, and onto the videos...
Here's some low speed wheelie skill:
Lombard Street wheelie - short version, uphill only. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXBxYhglEN4)
Lombard Street wheelie - long version, both ways. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNa360R75aw)
Wheelie lap of SX track (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YUbOVx9wAg)
More wheelies with The Wheelie King (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FLUsk2M3wM)

Now that I can respect.

That Lombard street, long version one was awesome, especially the part where he goes over the car. The paint popping off the top of it was hilarious!

Is this really a concern? This is quite possibly the first post I've read since Al Gore invented the Internet that complained about video's and artist royalties. Good times.

Here's some low speed wheelie skill:
Doug Domokus was always one of my favorites!!!
:bigok:
It seemed he could wheelie anything. Back when I was completely hooked on dirt bikes, I used to try to emulate his technique...alas, even with my best attempts at clutch, brake and throttle control, I could never keep the balance point for long...though I could get through a couple of upshifts on a 350 Bultaco Alpina

Naw,... I think it's just more of an aside. I think that youtube has been a huge source of artists getting exposure they might not otherwise.

Don't feel too bad, getting any upshifts is better than I can do! I can get the front up when I have to, like when hitting some whoops or crossing a log or something, or when I get on the gas on the MX bike or powerful enough street bikes it'll come up a couple inches, but actually carrying the front or even just popping your typical squid wheelie is beyond me.
As for Doug Domokos, he was talented for sure and a great showman but he cheated a little bit. His bikes had all kinds of little tricks to make it easier, from a small electric motor that kept the front wheel spinning(that gyro effect is pretty important)and ridiculous low gearing.
