Looks sharp.  Do you like the jet kit?  I believe I will be doing one also real soon.

How are the grips and where did you get them?

Thanks!

The jet kit is good. It added a few ponies & some torque. The biggest difference is in how quickly the engine spools up now. I did not install the kit myself. The 1st "mechanic" that I took it to did not follow the directions, so I took it to the dealership to have the 1st mechanics work "fixed". My suggestion, as Dale told me, make sure whoever installs the kit follows his directions to the letter.

I like the grips fine. They have gel in them, so they feel better than the stockers. I got mine from Cycle Gear locally, but you should be able to find them just about anywhere that sells grips.

Wow the blue on the wheel rims really sets it off. Its funny how the commemorative 05 color scheme looked goofy in all the advertisements but in person looks great attracts so much attention. You are the first to capture the great looks of the 05 commemorative color scheme in a photo. What did you polish it with?

It is a product that I picked up at Cycle Gear http://www.cyclegear.com . It is the same as Plexus, private labeled for them and sold under their brand name Moto Pro, Spray Polish.

Checking out the Two Brothers exhaust. It looks like the VALE system does not come with a stainless connection pipe. They describe it as a thin wall S pipe and it doesn't look stainless to me. Can you clarify? Cause yours does. And do you know the price of the sound deadening end?

Yes, the ZG DB screen is a big improvement over the stock.

The mid-pipe is thin wall stainless steel. I do not have the "Power Tip" on mine, but I think it's about $20-$25.

I was not impressed with the retro color scheme either in the print ads but it is beautiful! Rim stickers are too cool, now Im gonna get some, can looks great (some of the older 2 bros are too big and gaudy).
Schweet!!!!

Checking out Two Brothers...have got a guy telling me I have to put at least stage 1 carb kit in and even reset the float levels. Did you do this?

I did have the Holeshot Stage 1 jet kit installed. I did so a couple of days after installing the pipe. The bike ran fine with the pipe before the jet kit was installed. Two Brothers claims that you do not have to install a jet kit with their pipe, but without the jet kit, the pipe, like any other pipe, really won't add much performance to the bike, just a lot of noise! Some will probably caution you that adding a pipe without a jet kit will make the bike run too lean, possibly leading to long-term damage.

There's the rub..."just a lot of noise". I want to hear more engine, for sure, but not too much. Are you saying that this can is really loud?

No not too loud. Certainly not as loud as a D&D for example. It has a nice rumble at idle, a nice growl at normal cruising speeds, a loud bark when you really twist the throttle.

Very nice!  I have the same bike, and have added a lot of extras already, but not done yet.  I hope you are working on losing that big hunk of black plastic bolted to the underneath of your tail.  I already have, and man-O-man, what a difference.  I could send you a picture if you're interested.  You've done some great simple additions, but installing a clean undertray, and looking at your bike from the sides, and especially the rear, you just stand back and go YEAHHHHHHH BABY!

I am sure that you will like the Two Bros. One note on the install. The instructions say to mount the hanger BEHIND the passenger footpeg bracket. This is incorrect. The strap must be secured to the FRONT of the bracket. If it is mounted behind the bracket, there is not enough clearance for the swingarm. I can post a close-up image of how the hanger should mount if you like.

Hey Mike, I'll post one ASAP.  I sure enjoy looking at you your bike in this photo.  You caught the lighting, background, and angle just right.   :crybaby:  I'd be green with envy if I didn't have one, but oh yeah, I DO!

Also ordered up the sound reducing tip. A big 2 Dbs. Big deal. But it'll look really cool in that gold anodized color.
