I agree that the blue is a very nice color, I was 95% sure I was buying a blue one...but the red won me over in the end, probably because most of my bikes have been red  Yeah  hwy 93 is a nice road, I've enjoyed that ride a few times. I'm likely heading down to Nakusp in June then head down to San Diego, nice little 8 day ride in total

Way to go, Dreadnought !!! Looks great....although I may be a mite prejudiced.
Glad to see you went with the REAL Bandit we all know and love. :beers:
Say, guys, why don't we ALL spend 5 or 6 days riding our brains out on the Monashee (BC#6) and the Kaslo/New Denver (BC#31A) and the Creston/Kootenay Bay (BC#3A)
roads ???
I LOVE those roads. Here's a link to some pics from our Labour Day weekend camping trip over those very roads. Pure heaven.....

Bruce ('05B12S from Leduc) & Christine ('99 Kat 750 from Innisfail) rode down to join us for the weekend trip.

Hey Rick,
Nice pics...would be a fun weekend tououring around southern BC. Would you happen to have close up pics of your laminar lip? I wouldn't mind making one up myself and would like to see how you mounted yours.

Thanks

James: As I posted in one of the other forums on here, the Lip does what it's supposed to do......but only if you're ~5'9" or shorter. We taller guys get the remaining wind right in the face or top of the helmet, depending on how tall you are. It's a simple attachment method with really fancy 3M velcro pads and they even give you an extra set so you can put the lip on another bike if you want to......or if your original stock screen gets smacked and you need a new one. Sure I'll send you more pics if you like. Send me a PM with your email addy in it and I'll send 'em off to you ASAP.
Re: BC trip. The real trick is to take about 5 days minimum. That seems to work out the best, at least for me. I also want to tackle the Duffey Lake Road (BC#99) from Lillooet down to Pemberton this year. Buddies of mine have ridden it and say it's also very challenging. Evidently you may have to carry gas.....Well, we'll see what the summer holds in store....

The ride through Nacusp and New Denver is one of our favourites.
I'll attach a few photos from Sept. My son and I went just after the long weekend.  Awsome ride and no traffic to speak of.

on the ferry, the black bike is my old one that just became the 06 Bandit.

And what trip is complete without a stop at Timmy's

My son and I are always up for a trip. (If I ever get my bike out of the shop and on the road.) We are planning to trailer the bikes out to the west coast of the Island for a couple of weeks this summer. We have a campsite booked for Tofino in July.

Hey Dreadnought!

Sounds like the 06 and 07 are identical other than the drivetrain.  So I was just curious how you like the seat on your new bike?  Hope your lovin' the bike!  The red looks way better in your pics than in does in Suzuki's.  Sharp bike! :congrats:

James: I forgot to mention one thing you might want to check on your bike. The swingarm protector (black plastic piece bolted to swingarm) near the front on the drive side is a VERY poor molding, at least on my bike. It will NOT stay aligned properly with the chain because the top portion keeps wanting to spring outboard and thus out of alignment. I had to make up a tensioner gizmo out of an old spring clip from a Honda
airbox and figure out a fastening arrangement with a spacer.
It now holds the protector in the proper place so that the chain runs correctly on the protector. The chain is a LOT quieter now, as a bonus.
