Title: My bike smells like candy
Post by: Barbarian on June 16, 2007, 09:12:41 PM
The street I live on has far too many maple trees. Trees that drip sap all day and night all over my bike.
I got to work, and all the caramelized sap on my muffler smelled like a frigging candy factory  :stir:

Ah well, at least we have a hose, a clean garbage can, hand soap and I borrowed a brush from a cager. My bike is now squeeky clean -- and the microfibre cloth I picked up this week for $1.50 does a way better job drying my bike than any other shammy I've ever used.

If you could keep the smell without the goo...

I ride past a pot pourri factort/warehouse on my way to work & back every day.  Blythe HomeScents.  Some days, I swear there's been an industrial spill since an entire block will smell like "flower".

That has to be one of the most unique thread titles I've seen in quite some time

Some of the LTL carriers that pick up for us have some good "scents" now and then. Few of them pick up at a place that makes artificial ingredients so a truck will smell like butterscotch now and then. One of Tirerack.com's warehouses is right across the street from us. I love when trailers have just dropped off over there. Smells like brand new rubber. Guess it's a guy thing cause all the girls at work think I'm nuts.  :bandit:
Title: Parking under trees

I have an idea that may make things a little easier for you. Don't park the beautiful thing under any maple tree!!! I can't believe you would do that to your baby...Banditone1250s... :stickpoke:

Sometimes I don't have much choice... Ah, to buy a house with a garage -- a dream to be achieved in the next year.
