Gauge parts?
« on: June 12, 2007, 02:39:11 PM »
Well I had a little accident a few weeks ago and a rock must've hit my tachometer because it put a dent on the outer ring and broke it off at the mount. I was able to repair the mount but I need to replace the front outer ring since it has that dent in it. Does anyone know where I can find parts for gauges or maybe anywhere I can buy a used tachometer? I've been checking ebay but all I ever see are tachs for 2g bandits.

Looking at the parts catalog, it looks like the ring is part of the tach assy - as far as buying the part from Suzi.

Does anyone know if the tach from a 1200 will work on my 600? I'm watching one on ebay now that's dirt cheap.

It should work, but the redline on the face is different. The 1200 doesn't rev as high as the 600.

Do you think it's possible to swap out the face?

I've never had it apart myself. Hopefully someone who has will pipe in here.
