So I got this Bandit a couple of months ago. 2000 1200 S. I thought I have been riding with a little spirit, and I have. Well tonight my girl has a friend in town. We ate some food, I watched them break out the bushmills and turn on the record player. Yep I went to go ride.
It's Monday about 11:30 pm, good streets with some nice other roads and I've discovered plus a beltline with no traffic. Like I said I thought I was riding with some spirit. So we all know in second gear we can go seventy without too much effort. Well I decided to keep RPM's between 6-8K the whole ride. For good gravey's sake, that was an incredible ride. Man oh man these are just fantasic bikes. I guess it's very easy to just use the 1200 tourqe to tool around. If you do decide to run the bike in that manner it just changes to a new wolrd. Wow oh gosh, my grin is just silly. I can't imagine how the real super sport bikes are like.
I must admit I had reservations about Suzuki's for some stupid childhood reason. Cheers to you all for just amazing complete bikes. Have fun and be safe. Now I will have to have a glass of whiskey to keep my self sane.
Oh yeah I had forgot. I did the same thing with a 79 Honda CB750F. That made that bike silly fun as well. Now I just need to rebuild that thing.

Yeah, they really are underated little hot rods, aren't they?

Lots of cool bikes out there, but oh so much money to own one. There's not really anything a B12 can't do if you set it up correctly. If the heat ever breaks here I can get back into riding mine! Soon, I hope.

I noticed on my way in this morning the huge change that takes place at 4000 RPM. The engine note changes, and it starts to get a little snarl to it. By 6k, you better be holding on.

I got to ride about 150 miles of twisties this weekend, and aside from some tires that dont suck and a major fork upgrade, I really couldnt ask for more. On unfamiliar roads the absurd amount of torque let me take sweepers in 4th or 5th. Downshifting was an option, not a necessity. On more familiar routes I used the upper end of the torque curve....and....wow. It made my roommate's 750 katana look like a real turd.

Until I got used to the B12, there were a few times when I under estimated the torque and it got my attention. Nothing bad happened, but it got my attention. I can't wait to get my bike back to Phoenix for some real riding.
