Coming home from work in traffic, I'm approaching a big roundabout at about 35-40mph, in the right hand lane. I move into the left lane and brake for the roundabout, bike loses ALL control - felt just like when I fell off my CZ the first time. Anyway I somehow gain control again and luckily the bloke to my right had noticed and braked in time, I JUST make it round the roundabout a pull over for a breather. It is then I realize how serious it had been - my knee had actually hit the floor during the buckaroo! I bet I looked like Rossi making a save! Anyway I've got me breath back and I still love bikes, just hate oil (or soap as my friend tells me it was)

Glad you made out OK.
-
Yeah - glad you remained a member of the Shiny-side-up Club!
Around here, it must be a banner year for walnuts. And, there's a walnut tree on half of the decent curves around. I went for a ride by myself yesterday. I was more stressed out when I got home than when I left. Looked a lot like this guy >

I think i would need to pull over and clean out the pants after somthing like that...
good thing your all right

Lol cheers for the support. I really wish I could have seen it from someone elses view though cause my knee definitely hit the road at some point! It's baffling
-
Nice to know you made it out of that in one piece.
-
That knee's liable to be pretty sore in a day or so.
-
Haha doubt it, it only clipped the road momentarily. Stung a little though!
-
Nice save, well done.
-
Cheers. I informed the police after and I think they sorted it because it seemed clean today. Still took it easy though!!

GOOD SAVE! Thank God! Another killer is anti-freeze...you can't see it but hit it and it's total mayhem until you stop sliding. Got me good once and couldn't figure it out until I limped back and actually had trouble standing on the spot. (The reason I don't wear polarized sunglasses on the bike.)
(BTW: 'Near Miss' means you hit - 'nearly missed' )
Cheers.

Well done for staying upright. Makes me think about buying frame sliders though.

Haha probably a good idea. Only another setback though, still saving for my next bike. The 250's just my hack now :crybaby:
