Carb cleaner?
« on: August 31, 2006, 12:41:22 PM »
It's been about 2 months since I fired up the bike.  I will probably take it out this weekend.  Do I have any reason to believe that any sort of "gumming" up would have happened this soon?  I doubt it, but not really sure.  Should I run a can of carb cleaner through the tank?  If so, what specifically would be the best thing to use?

It would'nt hurt to use carb cleaner. The longest I've had my bike setup without starting it was 6 weeks in the shop. It cranked wth no problems. Any of the name brand carb cleaners should work. Enjoy your ride.

The only thing that matters is how fast you can get from 0 to 60, because top speed is secondary

Chevron Techron or SeaFoam are the only 2 that are any good, IMO.
