Jumping your ass???
Don't you know what this  :stickpoke: means?
It means I'm poking fun at you.

:wtf: Whatever.

There is no " :stickpoke: " in your post:

Quote from: "Red01"
The original post never said anything about "vintage" and only mentioned a weakness for 2-stroke triples and enduros.

And if ya don't think BHolland's GSXR is old school, better not say that around any of the folks at http://www.oldskoolsuzuki.info/

By itself, it doesn't seem like much, and it looks as though I'm over-reacting, being too sensitive, whatever.

But it's gotten to the point that when I log in, and I see you have posted after me, I know it's going to be some negative reaction to my post. And 99% of the time it is... either you don't like a certain word I used, or you nit-pick on some small point that deviates from the topic, or you just want to challenge whatever it is I said... and start another pissing match.

It's getting old. It's obvious you have a problem with my posts, or me personally, and since you're the site administrator, there's not much I can do about it. And I doubt it's going to change. You won't even admit to it. So screw it.

See ya.

You're right, YOU were the one who put  :stickpoke: in, not me. I corrected my post. My bad. My apologies.

I was only standing up for the poor Gixxer though. It seemed to me you were rejecting it for not being "old school" enough and I was just offering it some defense as the air/oil cooled GSXR series is considered old school in the sport bike world. I would have offered the same defense if anyone else would have made a similar comment, so please don't take it personal.

Here's a classic offering to help make ammends:

Here's me on my 1st bike around 1974.  That's a 1973 Kawasaki 90cc 2-stroke street bike, and people think GSXR600's are first bikes! The bike in the fore ground is my brother's, a 1960 something Honda Dream 150.

Hope that worked.

I can't see it on the Bandit Alley site, but if I copy the URL into my browser, then I can access it.

Maybe one of the "smart" guys here can figure out why it is not displaying.

The Honda looks closer to my first bike...

Larry can see it because its his account on tripod.

It seems that if you paste the URL in IE it works but if you paste the URL in Firefox it doesn't.

txbanditrydr may already have a tripod account or is holding his tongue in his mouth just the right way

Anyway the best resolution is to host pictures through a service such as photobucket because then everyone can see them without any fuss

Pic works okay for me and I'm running Netscape in Firefox mode. Hmmmm.....the mysteries of Bill.....Gates, that is.
Well, I've posted these before but, Nitro, well you've appealed to my "baser" nature. I just can't resist another chance to show off my faves....

My '73 H2A basket case.....a mere 10 years in the making.....and, no, I'm not putting a Kawasaki decal on the tank because if someone already knows what it is, no probs.....and if someone doesn't know what it is....how unfortunate for them.

My '76 GT550A bone stock triple stroker as I bought it in 1990....well, except for the factory rack which was a recent addition courtesy of Ebay

My latest acquisition is almost 30 years old a/o next January. It's a '78 KZ650C2 bought this Spring with ~1400 miles on the clock....and it's a laff-riot to ride. I'm looking for its brother so I can make a cafe bike out of it. Oooops...
don't want to start another "cafe bike definition war" thread....Sorry....:deadhorse:

Oh, and Zen....are you having a bad hair day, er whut ??
Relax, have 3 beers and call me in the morning. Things ALWAYS look better through beer-goggles.

I had one of those ~10 years ago... didn't look that nice and the miles weren't that low though. It was a bit of a rat bike, mostly because someone had painted it with a rattle can. (It was also the more basic version with wire wheels and a single front disc.) I picked it up for $500 in the spring, rode it until fall and sold it for $900.

Nice bike Rick. Both my younger brothers had one each in 1980 +/-. One the sport with dual discs and mag wheels, one a standard with single disc and spoke wheels.

I think you can still buy one of these...the ZR7S, was still selling in Canada in 2005 and I think there are still some non-currents sitting. Mileage would be about the same, and the price is likely similar :stickpoke:
