Hey guys thanks  :thanks: for all of the nice comments!  I think?  No....don't worry, you cannot offend me. LOL  As I read the posts I was blushing and laughing, you guys are funny.

As far as the bike goes, yeah- I would love to pimp it a little.  This is how it was when I bought it in June.  All I have done is wash it and wax it and clean the rims.  The rims were nice and shiny until my last long ride, it got a little wet with the dew.  I really did not wash it up for the pic.  It was just a beautiful day for a ride.  Oh- I always wear a helmet and gloves.  My jacket is my favorite!

All of my girlfriends think I am cool to ride a sportbike.  I wish they had the guts to do it, it really is not that hard.

By the way, I am 33! Not bad UH? That is why my husband likes to ride his Buell 1200 behind me, "Nice Ass".  MEN?

OK, over the years we've had more than a few attractive females join this board, but usually they get run off. :crybaby:
I swear, the rumours of me 'cyber stalking' them are untrue.
They really are!  I swear!  I don't know anything about any protective orders.

Besides, this lovely gal has class.  She didn't post a picture of herself scantily clad, draped over her bike in a provocative pose....teasing all us middle aged geezers!
  Let's treat her with respect!

(Email those 'other' photos to me.......though.)

Speak for yourself Pete, I'm far from middle aged :stickpoke:

A good lookin' lady on a "sportbike" always gets props from me :beers:

I can't blame your husband for wanting to follow, I always try to ride in the back of the pack.............................when there is a nice ass to follow

So you're in Maine, eh?

What do you get like 2-3 week of the year to ride

Just kidding.  One of my really good friends has a B&B on Sebago Lake.  I love it up there.

OK Guys..try not to get too technical with the bike part words. LOL  Just tell me what I need to do to make my bike look Hot.

Muffler header? What- where is that? Don't laugh! I basically get on and ride. I have a guy that does all of the work for me, so I trust him to make sure the bike is running OK.

What can I use to clean the pipes? I hate how they are discolored like that. I was told that is how they get once they heat up for the first time and stay that way. YUK!  I have tried cleaning it, but are there any special tricks.

Now remember, no fancy engine words :duh: ...I am a girl. Just be specific. LOL

Thanks!

I know Maine is not a great place to do alot of riding! I am going for a nice long all day ride this saturday, the weather looks like it will be in the 60s.  Maine girls a tough!

I love the Maine weather.  I also love to snowmobile.  I am a Yamaha sled girl all the way.

I would love to ride my bike down south someday.  You guys are lucky to have such great weather most of the year to ride......I am jealous!

I will be sad to put the bike away for winter!  :crybaby:

The best way I have found to clean the pipes when they are discolored/filthy, is to start with 200 grit sandpaper and work up to 1000 or 1500 grit. Then follow up with some polish of your choice.

I had a good start on doing this, just working on it when I couldn't ride, but I wrecked and my front wheel took out my header. So now I will have to start all over again, probably just won't worry about it, I'd rather ride than polish all the time.

You can use an assortment of metal polishes on your headers to clean them up.  They won't come back to 'silver', but they'll look a lot better.
Mothers Mag Polish is one that you can find anywhere.  It's a cream in a plastic jar thing.
Screw it. It's a little dirty and tedious. Make Hubby do it! :beers:

Nice lookin' seat cover, ya' got on that Bandit!

I've got the '02B6 in black.  I pulled all the stickers off mine.

I loooove all black bikes!  Here's a pic:

Ever noticed that they don't make helmets out of bone? There's a reason.

Very nice jacket.  My wife (who rides an 05 sv650!) just got an icon tuscadero, and absolutely loves it!  It was tough finding a suitable ladies jacket that's for 'go' and not just for 'show'.  Lucky for me, it really complements her curves

Hey Guys thanks for the cleaning tips! I wish hubby would do it for me, but he is to busy thinking about snowmobiling right now to care. (He LIVES for snowmobiling!) Me, well, I would rather ride my bike!  He hates it when I say that. LOL

I am going to try to get my bike cleaned up a little before I ride on Saturday.

Yeah- I love a black bike as well.  I guess the all black Bandits are hard to find, I consider myself very lucky to get such a great used bike for $3,700.00. Only 9,000 miles!

More women should ride.  Unfortunately, cars don't show any respect or caution towards bikes, and we would hate to see one of you get messed up.

 That wasn't an uplifting comment, I guess.  But it's true.

I totally understand! When riding a motorcycle, you have to be so alert and aware of everything that is going on around you.  Not all women are up for that intensity and responsibility.  More and more women are riding every year, I know that does not mean that they are good- but they are out there.  I am also part of another sporkbike forum for women and it is amazing how many women have gotten onto a bike that is too big and have dumped it over and over.   :duh:  Have respect for the bike!!!!!!!

Anyone can dump it of course, but stay within your limits!

I  had a very scary accident happen to me in a car about 9 years ago where I broke my neck in several places and wore a halo for 21 weeks.  I went through alot! I really don't want to do that again.

WOW, I was way off on my guess of your age.
You're actually 4 years older than my oldest daughter.
Looks like you've been taking good care of yourself.  :bigok:
