Well if you need a heated vest then either

a: You're not dressed right
or
b: There's too much snow on the ground. (heated vest not needed here...even when it's 2C outside - 35F)

You jacket should fit jicely with a thing sweater underneath....or perhaps just get some LIFA (althete sports wear) That'll keep you warm, cheaper than a vest & much much lighter.

Grips and vest?  Why not?

Extra running lights?  Depends.  Avoid those big Harley-style light bars.  That would look stupid.  Something small, but BRIGHT?!  Way cool.

Have you checked out these Saeng's?

My heated jacket liner is about as bulky as the waterproof liner that came with my jacket. Wearing it allows me to dress light so I can maintain maximum mobilty and still stay toasty warm.

I run heated grips and a jacket liner and the charging system handles that just fine. Now that I've got the blockers out of the headlights and running HIR bulbs, I no longer have driving lights on my wish list.
